ABOUT SANJAY MUKHERJEE

I am a portrait photographer based in Kolkata, India. Most of my work are in black and white photography specially the portrait photography. Colour distracts the emotions whereas the black and white photography takes you in that moment when you view my photographs. I shoot fast and creating situations that build believable scenes in natural light.

Most of my photographs incorporates people who don’t model professionally, so I allow plenty of opportunities to converse before and during the shoot, putting them at ease in front of the camera and making it natural, “au naturel.”
